经济学学科分为西方经济学和马克思主义政治经济学
西方经济学主要由三部分组成：微观经济学、宏观经济学和计量经济学
此外还有国际经济学，是微观经济学和宏观经济学在多国环境下的延伸
此外还有(包括但不限于)劳动经济学、人口资源与环境经济学、产业组织学、政治经济学、博弈论等等分支
经济学没有专科，专科是为了就业的，经济学是为了研究的
经济学本科核心课程一般为中级微观、中级宏观、计量介绍、国际经济学
经济学硕士核心课程一般为高级微观、高级宏观、高级计量
博士比硕士多几篇博士论文
至于难度，如果单以数学和统计学的运用来说，所有课程都可以很难，说计量最难的那是没学好。
经济学的基础是数学和统计学，包括但不限于数学分析、高等代数、概率论、高等数理统计、随机过程、微分方程、实分析、泛函分析
微观经济学研究微观个体，包括企业和个人甚至是市场
宏观经济学研究宏观个体，包括国家，政策，货币，经济增长等等

国际经济学是在国际背景下研究微观和宏观，分为国际贸易和国际金融
劳动经济学研究人力资源，劳动力激励等等

金融学，完全不同于经济学，金融学研究的是金融产品和金融市场，目的是解决资金配置问题，使得需要钱的人以最低的成本拿到钱，而愿意拿出钱投资的人能够获得最大回报。
金融学包括但不限于会计学、财务管理、金融学、金融市场、衍生品
金融学需要良好的数学和财务基础，包括但不限于数学分析、高等代数、概率论、高等数理统计、随机过程、微分方程。一部分金融工作者需要良好的计算机基础，包括但不限于C，C++，python，Java，MATLAB，R

如果是综述性的论文，就是要写上有什么样的计量方法，每个方法的特点和最后得出的数据说明了什么问题。
如果是研究性的论文，那就要用具体的数据来建模进行计量，然后说明你用这个方法得出的结论。
作为一个经济学领域的科研狗，我来谈一谈自己的一些想法。
1、万事开头难，做学术也是一样。首先，你需要选题，选题是一个非常复杂的问题，有的时候你的一个灵光乍现就会有一个IDEA，但是有的时候你想破脑袋也不会有任何思路。那怎么办？其实，也是有办法的，那就是阅读文献。事实上，哪怕再聪明的人，也不可能看着数据或者空想就能够想出来一个好的idea，好的idea往往都是基于现有的研究结果而得出的。
2、接下来就是如何选题。首先你需要确定一个大方向，大方向的确定最好与当前经济的一些问题相结合，如环境问题、经济结构转型问题、国际贸易摩擦问题、一带一路战略等。确定好一个方向后，你需要全身心地投入到文献中去，阅读文献也是需要讲究方法，一定要阅读质量好的文献，经济领域内的中文文献推荐《经济研究》、《中国工业经济》、《经济学季刊》、《金融研究》、《世界经济》、《管理世界》、《经济学动态》、《中国农村经济》。
3、阅读文献。阅读文献也是讲究方法的，需要结合你的需求进行精读和速读。有的时候你只需要阅读摘要就够了，有的时候需要进一步阅读文献综述，有的时候还需要阅读研究方法和数据。在阅读过程中，你的原有idea可能会被进一步扩展，也可能会被否定，但总体而言，你的思路一定会在文献阅读过程中被展开。
4、通过大量的文献阅读，你已经形成了初步的研究方向。这时候，你就需要设计研究方法了。经济学的研究方法与一般自然科学的研究方法很类似，都是提出自己的理论假设，然后用数据证实自己的假设，仅此而已。
5、剩下就是文章的写作了。经济学论文的写作如今都是千篇一律的八股文，引言，文献综述，理论机制，数据选择，实证结果分析，结论和政策建议。唯一可能需要技术的是计量经济学基础，事实上文章的套路随便在工业经济上找一篇范文依葫芦画瓢就很容易上路，至于要有更高的写作追求和风格，那还需要进一步历练。
